RedundancyMaster News and Announcements
November 3, 2005
RedundancyMaster Version 1.10.54 Released - (Download here)
- Enhancements:
- Added the ability to alias a server's ProgID, so that we can provide redundancy to multiple pairs of servers with the same ProgID.
- RedundancyMaster will now send IOPCShutdown notifications on behalf of all OPC servers when the application is terminated by an end-user.
- RedundancyMaster is now automatically re-registered everytime the application is started.
- Fixes
- Fixed a hole where you could get access to other RM functionality while anyone of our browse windows was displayed (machine, server, or item browse
windows). The ability to do this caused some recursive behavior that we never expected to occur (i.e., invoke multiple child windows at the same time, each competing to bring itself to the foreground
and resulting in window flickering).
- Fixed crash that could occur when 'X'ing out the OPC server browse window. Made same changes to machine and item browser since this too could
potentially exhibit the same behavior.
- Fixed issue with properly updating DCOM configuration when uninstalling as a service.
- Modified browse filter to use "*" rather than a null string. Some servers do not return all leaves when sending a null string.
- Fixed crash that occurred when sending an e-mail notification to an SMTP address that specified a DNS name which contained 'dots' in the name.
The application was treating this as an IP address which resulted in a runtime crash.
- Fixed server browse paint issue if a server returns leaves with no fully qualified item ID.
