OPC UA Support
With the release of version 5.2, TOP Server now supports the OPC Unified Architecture Data Access Profile . TOP Server also supports OPC DA, OPC A&E, OPC .NET 3.0 / Xi and Native interfaces and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future. In addition, TOP Server 5.2 introduced an optional OPC UA Client driver. With the release of version 5.4 of the TOP Server, this is now part of the OPC Client Driver Suite and includes the OPC DA and OPC UA Client Drivers. In 2009, the OPC Foundation released its next generation interoperability standard, named OPC UA (Unified Architecture). This technology delivers the latest capabilities in Automation Data Transfer and addresses the need for highly secure, cross platform communications , the transmission of Information = Data + Context, and unifies the earlier specifications of OPC into one interface for all forms of information, Data Access, Alarms and Events and Historic Data Access.

OPC Independent Lab Certification
At the highest level, because TOP Server is powered by Kepware’s technology, and Kepware has taken it’s OPC Server products to the OPC Foundation’s Independent Test Lab, TOP Server V5.7 has been awarded the prestigious OPC Independent Test Lab Certification for the OPC UA interface.
