HMI/SCADA Software
Reducing Integration Costs in the Multi-Vendor Real World
The most common use for TOP Server is with HMI/SCADA software packages to provide read/write access to process and production data. Having multiple HMI/SCADA software products in a single facility is quite common, and system integrators often must be skilled in multiple products. Therefore, it is important the communications software you choose work with as many software applications as possible.
TOP Server meets this requirement because it supports the OPC Data Access (DA) standard versions 1, 2, and 3 as well as OPC Unified Architecture (UA - DA Profile), OPC Alarms & Events and OPC .NET 3.0 / XI (DA & AE Profiles). In addition to the OPC standards, TOP Server provides these HMI/SCADA specific and other interfaces, insuring you’ll have a way to connect to TOP Server.

If your HMI/SCADA package is one of the large number that support OPC Data Access (DA) as a client then you’ll be able to connect to TOP Server. Our OPC Certifications and OPC Interoperability testing, combined with our flexible OPC settings insure that TOP Server works well with your software.
Here is a partial list of the HMI/SCADA systems that we know our clients are using TOP Server with. You can also review the list of products we have tested with at OPC Interoperability Workshops. Remember, if your application is an OPC Data Access (DA) client, OPC UA client (DA Profile) or OPC XI (DA or AE Profile) client, it can connect to TOP Server.
