Purpose:
- The purpose of this document is to explain by example, the basic configuration of the Top Server.
- This document will explain by example
- How to create a Channel
- How to create a Device
- How to configue Tags
- How to test tag to make sure they can connect to a device.
Intended Audience:
This document is suitable for anyone who has a need to understand the Top Server product.
No product knowledge is assumed.
Installation:
- Double Click on the self-extracting executable file you downloaded - topserverdemo.exe.
- Run the SETUP.EXE that is under the folder labled Disk1 in the location you choose to extract the Server.
- You will be presented with a list of drivers to install as shown at the right - if you select none, our simulation driver will
be installed. This Quick Start assumes you will use our simulation driver. If you plan to utilize any of our other PLC drivers, you may choose them here to be installed.
