TOP Server AB ControlLogix Driver with Suitelink and FastDDE support saves Wonderware InTouch Users time and improves performance

Users at the recent Wonderware Showcase were thrilled with the ease of use and improved performance that the TOP server offers users of AB ControlLogix hardware when used with Wonderware InTouch. Since the TOP Server connects directly to InTouch via Suitelink or FastDDE , you can avoid having to own a license of and run and configure OPC Link as required by other solutions. This plus no RS Linx licenses required made this solution very popular. 

Engineering costs for users using the TOP server are further reduced using the product's ability to natively import RS Logix 5000 L5K files and configure the TOP server. This feature when used with the TOP Server InTouch Tag Wizard allows users to go from RS Logix 5000 to InTouch tags in 2 simple steps.

TOP Server InTouch Tag Wizard Reduces Engineering Time

The TOP Server InTouch Tag Wizard is a tool designed to work with Wonderware InTouch as a standard InTouch Wizard to take tags that have been created in the TOP Server and build an InTouch tag database automatically and setup Suitelink Access Names so that when done running the wizard, you are ready to begin animating your screens in WindowMaker with live data. 

Although not required for using the TOP Server with Wonderware InTouch, the wizard is particularly useful with the TOP Server AB ControlLogix driver because we are able to import an L5K configuration file from RS Logix 5000 and build a tag database that matches that in the AB ControlLogix PLC in the InTouch system in two simple steps.

This wizard will work with ANY TOP server driver to build a tag database and the necessary Access Names to connect InTouch to the TOP server automatically.

This Wizard is presently available upon request and will soon following additional enhancements be included free with every license of the TOP Server.
